Integrations with your EHR, practice software, CRM and Microsoft 365
The caller's record on screen before you answer. Appointments confirmed by text and written back. Faxes filed where your documents live. And custom connections for anything we have not thought of.
The caller's record is on screen before you answer
IHS Phone matches every incoming call to a patient, client or customer in the systems you already use and shows their name, next appointment, balance, family members or matter, and open tasks, with one click into their record. After the call, the summary, a link to the recording and any follow-up tasks can be written back.
Every connection is set up under your own account with that vendor, every lookup is recorded, and you can disconnect it, and have the copied data removed, at any time.
Ask about your systemMedical, dental and practice-management systems
Whichever system your practice runs, caller pop-up, reminders, recall, AI booking and write-back work the same way.
| Type of system | Examples | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Hospital and clinic EHRs | Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), athenahealth, NextGen, eClinicalWorks, Veradigm, MEDITECH | Caller pop-up with appointments and providers; booking and note write-back where the vendor permits |
| Cloud dental and specialty systems | Open Dental, Dentrix Ascend, Curve Dental, Denticon, DrChrono, ModMed, Nextech, ezyVet | Caller pop-up, appointment reminders and confirmations, booking, notes |
| Office-based practice systems | Dentrix, Eaglesoft and similar desktop systems | Caller pop-up, reminders and recall through a small connector we install in the practice |
| Anything else | Scheduled imports, standard healthcare data feeds, Zapier and similar tools | Caller pop-up and reminders |
Some vendors take weeks to approve a connection; we start that process as soon as you sign so it is ready when you go live.
Business software
Microsoft 365 and Teams

Making and receiving calls inside Teams is available as an option.
Google Workspace
Sign in with Google, route around calendar appointments, sync contacts, deliver faxes and voicemail to Drive, and get notifications in Google Chat.
CRM and help desk
Salesforce, HubSpot and Zendesk: caller pop-up, click to call, call logging and recording links on the contact record. Others on request.
Payments and accounting
Stripe for text-to-pay and online invoices; QuickBooks Online for your IHS invoices; telecom taxes handled for you.
Reviews and marketing
Google Business Profile and Facebook for review requests and monitoring; email campaigns from your contact list.
Document storage
SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, your own cloud storage or a secure folder for faxes, voicemail and recordings.
Custom connections for everything else
Your own software, a specialty practice system, an industry portal: our engineering team connects it. Customers with their own developers get documented, secure access to the same capabilities our apps use.
What a custom connection can do
- Click to call from your own screens; transfer, hold and hang up
- Send and receive texts and faxes from your software
- Create people, extensions, phone menus and queues automatically
- Pull call history, queue statistics and call summaries into your reports
- Manage numbers, caller ID and emergency addresses
- Ask the AI to summarize a call or draft a phone menu
Events your systems can be told about
Live updates are also available for dashboards and caller pop-ups in your own tools.
